The Riviera of olive oil and the Langa of wine

The territories of Langa, Astesana and Riviera are also united by the meaning of names: Riviera is the sequence of a long sea coast, Langa is the long ridge of hills that accompany the two valleys. Go through Langa means to cross the summit of the hills, following the mountains, that can always make meet new landscapes, as go to Riviera means following the embroidery of the land which meets the sea, alternating the gaze on the horizon and the bulwark of the olive groves, which are still Alps, the Alps of the Sea.

There is also oil in the hills of Piedmont, as there is wine on the Ligurian foothills, but the flagship products are the olive oil in Liguria and wines with denomination of origin in Piedmont, lined up by the world most precious hazel forests, from the species Tonda Gentile of the Langhe. Three important sectors those of oil, wine, hazelnuts that inspire so much gastronomy to accompany fish, meat and traditional dishes of pasta, also stuffed, of Liguria and Piedmont. With the contribution of exceptional vegetables grown abundantly in the plain of Albenga and minimally in river valleys of Astesana, the unique components of Mediterranean diet - dietary pattern of the contemporary world - are completed.
