Langhe: literary legend and rich economy

Langhe, historic region of Piedmont, are renowned tourist destination thanks to their excellent wine and gastronomic products, the quality of hotels and restaurants and the beauty of the landscape...

The name Langhe was first a literary myth, born from the pages of Cesare Pavese and Beppe Fenoglio. Charm of landscape, harshness of farming stories, authenticity of food and myth of noble wine. Earlier, among lovers of gastronomy had spread the myth of the Langhe region as land of white truffles, because a wise hotelier of Alba, Giacomo Morra, invented 80 years ago the National Truffle Fair.

The truffle has promoted the food and especially the wines of the Langhe, first of all the Barolo.
Today Langhe is a privileged place for tourism, thanks to a high quality hilly environment, crowned by the Alps of snow and full of accommodation opportunities. But Alba is also the head office's biggest Italian company, the Ferrero confectionery.

With the name Langhe now we mean a larger territory than that surrounding Alba. There are:

Alte Langhe , where is the culture of hazelnut and sheep for the production of good cheeses
Langhe of red wines
Langhe of Moscato d'Asti , towards west (around Neive and Mango)
Langhe of Asti , rich in wines, high-quality meat and exclusive land of the dop Robiola of Roccaverano
